Kukeri

The ancient ritual of chasing evil spirits and creatures away ( mostly during wintertime) is still performed to this day by Kukeri - men dressed in animal hides and decorated with animal horns, chains, bells and wooden clubs. They dance at night around fires and make as much noise as possible in order to scare the evil lurking around the villages.
I did this project not only because it's winter now and this national tradition is really awesome, but also because the newest Bas Relief tools in Zbrush makes the process of projecting the whole scene on one single mesh plane much, much easier than before. I used Marmoset Toolbag to set up the scene with the scans and the snow mesh , the RTX features are just awesome . From there the project took an unexpected turn and i decided to render another stylized scene inside Keyshot as well. The 3d scans are from objects that I discovered in the nearby streets and parks.

the whole scene arranged in Zbrush before projecting the relief onto a plane. Bonus points for spotting the cat in the scene ;)
